Bridges update 8/1
67-21 no real changes. Milling/paving still scheduled for 8/6 and 8/6 per CSP’s schedule.
Lordville’s backwalls will not be poured until Monday or Tuesday. Ran into complications forming to the old concrete.

Bridges update,
67-21 is going to be quiet for the rest of this week. Just general cleanup, but it will not be closed to traffic at all anymore. It will remain under temporary red lights until we are complete. There may be temporary long delays (in addition to the red lights) as work is completed, but traffic will be able to get through. Milling is scheduled for Monday 8/5 with paving on 8/6. This is dependent on Cobleskill Stone Products schedule. Rain may delay the work. Once rail is up and the paving is complete we will be done and the road will go back to the regular 2 lane configuration. While CSP is in the area, we are going to mill and repave County Bridge 139, the bridge on West Main Street over Sands Creek, by the old Kaplan Motors.
Br 163, Lordville is progressing. We have been forming and tying rebar for the backwalls. The first backwall will be poured on Friday 8/2. Both bridge crews will be working here when there is no work going on at 67-21.

67-21 has the last deck panel replaced. Good news, we will NOT have to close the bridge overnight again. The way the panels fell we can get enough of the end skew done today to open it tonight as we have been. We hope to have the deck fully replaced by the end of the week.
163 Lordville we are setting beams today. May not get them all, but by tomorrow all beams and diaphrams should be set. Then we will form and pour concrete to encase the beams and start the deck.

67-21 is back to replacing a 7’ section today. Same school bus to 3:30 +/- closure.
163 Lordville the concrete patches got poured Friday. Strip forms today, prep for beams, and we hope to start setting beams tomorrow or Wednesday.

67-21 is open for the day. It was opened before 2:30. Another 7’ section was replaced today. Tomorrow will just be a clean up day, no deck sections will be replaced. But it will still be closed, it will give us time to button up the work we have done and get ready for the next sections. We are aiming to be done tomorrow around noon.
163 Lordville we have completed the beam and bad concrete removal and have started forming up to pour more concrete. We will pour concrete in some of the patches tomorrow. Lots of jackhammering concrete in the heat the past couple days, the crew is certainly earning their pay!

HANCOCK IN THE NEWS : The New York State Departments of Environmental Conservation (DEC) and Transportation (NYSDOT) and Friends of the Upper Delaware River (FUDR) this week announced the completion of the new Cadosia Fishing Access Site in the Town of Hancock in Delaware County. The project bolsters New York’s commitment to expand recreational opportunities on state lands and boost local economies and provides more River & Fishing Access in the Town of Hancock. Don't forget to thank Town Officials, FUDR, Delaware County Planning Office and all other State agencies on this local success. 67-21 is now on the daily closure part of the project. We are changing the message boards to read closed 7:30 to 3:30. It won’t close until the Hancock bus goes back to town. It will still open in the afternoon after a 7’ section of deck is removed and replaced, but the way the rest has gone our crew is confident it should be by 3:30, at least most days. We will make provisions for emergency services to get through during the day when needed.
163 on Lordville Road now has the beams removed and we are starting to rebuild now. We found more bad concrete than we expected so we’ll have some extra work there.
Both bridges are still on schedule as of now

67 is now open to 1 lane traffic. Fire department has been notified as well. Full update in the morning.

SUMMER SATURDAYS ARE BACK! Join us today Sat July 13th in the Hancock Town Square from 10AM-2PM for the weekly Farmers Market & Craft Fair, and enjoy live music by the Poison Love Band at 11AM. Their music represents a unique mix of acoustic New-Americana featuring lead fiddle, guitar, percussion, vocal harmonies and original songwriting. Please note: there will NOT be an evening show due to extreme heat forecasts and to give our volunteers a break. We are running very low on funds this year, and we need to keep this amazing tradition of summer music events going, so please don't forget to donate at www.hancockpartners.org (donate button is at the top right of screen). #visithancockny - Voted #1 Best Small Town in the USA by TimeOut New York.
